ぷにぷに電機が新曲**『Chipped feat. Paul Grant』を2024年9月20日（金）にワーナーミュージック・グループ傘下のグローバルディストリビューターADA Japanよりリリース。本作は、ぷにぷに電機が”Chipped＝欠けたもの”をテーマに、かたちのない雲や儚い夕暮れ、消えいるような流星といった切ない空の情景をモチーフに、迷いや移ろいなど心の行方を重ね合わせて作詞作曲、アレンジャーにカルフォルニア出身のマルチインストゥルメンタリストのPaul Grant**を迎えた極上のチルソングとなっている。
今回、ぷにぷに電機と初めてのコラボレーションを行うPaul Grantは、KieferやBraxton CookなどとともにLAのビートシーンをはじめ、Jazz、R&B、Hip-Hopなどのさまざまジャンルで活躍するプロデューサー。
ジャケットイラストは迷路をモチーフとするアーティストsolakunが本楽曲をもとに製作、デザインはぷにぷに電機のグラフィックを多数手がけるニシノフミナが担当した。
また、今春にぷにぷに電機がリリースしたEP**『超重力幻想』**が限定アナログレコードとなって9月11日（水）に発売。特製帯つきのスペシャルアイテムとして、公式ショップやBandcamp、TUFF BEATS、タワーレコードなど全国レコード店にて取り扱い中。合わせてチェックを。
Punipunidenki will release their new single "Chipped feat. Paul Grant" on Friday, September 20, 2024, through ADA Japan, a global distributor under the Warner Music Group. This song was written and composed by Punipunidenki with the theme of "Chipped"—representing something missing—drawing inspiration from melancholic sky imagery such as amorphous clouds, fleeting sunsets, and vanishing shooting stars. They intertwined these delicate scenes with the themes of uncertainty and the transient nature of emotions.
Punipunidenki have collaborated with Paul Grant, a multi-instrumentalist and producer from California, known for his versatility across genres like jazz, R&B, and hip-hop, and for his contributions to the LA beat scene alongside artists like Kiefer and Braxton Cook.
The jacket illustration was created by solakun, an artist known for their maze-inspired motifs, based on the essence of this song. The design was handled by Nishino Fumina, who has crafted numerous graphics for Punipunidenki.
And this spring, Punipunidenki released their EP "HYPERGRAVITY VISIONS," which is now available as a 12 inch vinyl record. Released on Sep 11th (Wed), this limited edition item comes with a special obi strip and is available at Punipunidenki official shop, Bandcamp, TUFF BEATS, Tower Records, and record stores throughout Japan.
